"In Her Wilder Days"

This one was a commissioned piece asking for the wonderful yet brief "jumpsuit" Wonder Woman from the early 70's.

The only thing we need to make this one perfect is I-Ching!

Doing Wonder Woman this way made me ponder redoing that classic Charlie's Angels "3-Way" logo with 70's era DC women...

Done in finished pencils on 11x17 Blueline art board and completed 12/7.

By the way...happy birthday Liz!  Wherever you are...

"Two of a Kind"

I guess other than Wonder Woman, Harley's turning out to be one of my more favoritist characters!

Here she is, smiling impishly with her main squeeze, who does not appear to be too happy having a bauble poking him in the face!

Done in finished pencils on 11x17 Blueline art board and completed 12/8.

"Dream Angel"

Supergirl is turning out to be the most requested character I'm doing.  This piece was done for commission, and I was so taken by the model I used for it that I immediately turned around and did another similar one that I'll be offering on eBay later this month.

There's something so innocent and approachable about Supergirl.  I wonder if it's because she's really an alien and has no idea what man is really all about!  Do we even know?

Done in finished pencils on 11x17 Blueline art board and completed 12/11.

"Dream Angel"

"Mary Marvelous"

Mary Marvel and Mr. Mind done for commission.

It's weird, but I've always thought that Mary Marvel was blonde for some reason!  But when I pulled out my art reference for the character I realized she's much darker than that.

Too bad Shazam was canceled, huh?

Done in finished pencils on 11x17 Blueline art board and completed 12/12.

"Reflection"

The second piece from my one-time concession to directly ape Alex Ross.

This was based on Ross' sketch from the Kingdom Come trading card set.

It was enjoyable working through an Alex Ross piece again, but the major thing I noticed is that he ignores feet!  If you compare my piece with his, you'll notice my feet are better, so HAH! :)

And just in case you're wondering - my forgery days are past me now, so don't ask.

Done in finished pencils on 11x17 Blueline art board and completed 12/13.
